The perinatal community includes women, birthing persons, and non-birthing partners from family planning through the postpartum stages. Our vision is to hold a safe space for women, birthing persons and non-birthing partners. ​We are here to help build your village of support through referral connections to professional perinatal services such as mental health and wellness, physical health, birthing education, and basic needs.

Joan's Closet Supports Expectant and New Parents

Joan’s Closet is a community-driven initiative within Kindred Connection, created to support expectant and new parents by providing maternity, postpartum, and baby clothing at no cost. We understand that pregnancy and early parenthood bring both joy and unexpected challenges, and we believe that no one should have to worry about having the essentials they need during this time.



Through donations from generous community members, we offer gently used and new clothing for pregnant and postpartum individuals, as well as baby clothing from preemie sizes through 24 months. Whether it’s a comfortable outfit for pregnancy, nursing-friendly apparel, or tiny onesies for a newborn, Joan’s Closet is here to help.

“A friend of mine experienced postpartum psychosis,” Kindred Connection co-founder Jenna Hine said. “My friend got the support she needed. We were like, 'you know what? Let's sort of make this come to fruition. And wouldn't it be nice if you could go to one space and find all of the services that are available to the community?'”
